Research
The RRIV datalogger paired with properly calibrated instruments renders full research grade data at high temporal scales, with very low cost and power requirements. It can be used on the bench for microcosms, run mesocosm setups, or be deployed underwater in the field for extended time periods.

Field
A major benefit of low cost, streamlined DIY sensing is the ability to study waterbodies at high spatial density. Spatially distributed, multi-station deployments can empirically reveal poorly understood processes in water bodies and the landscape.

Bench
​Automating data collection during microcosm and other bench experiments produces detailed and reliable data. RRIV’s simple and intuitive interface can be leveraged for project setup, control, and parameter monitoring.

Mesocosms
RRIV configurations can be easily replicated across duplicate environments, and can also be programmed to control pumps or report problems.

Actuators
RRIV supports both sensors and configurable actuators, facilitating control of pumps, measurement chambers, or fans in the field or in the lab.
